What We Do

Founded in 2010, WLUSA has helped start dozens of wheelchair lacrosse programs in the United States. Wheelchair lacrosse is an extremely diverse and inclusive game played by men and women of all ages and abilities. We are proud to partner with motivated individuals and organizations to expand opportunities for disabled athletes across the country.

Why Lacrosse?

Modern lacrosse is based on a sacred Native American game that has been played for centuries. Today, WLUSA is bringing the sport to a new community of athletes who thrive on teamwork and competition. Wheelchair lacrosse offers the complete package—the speed of basketball, the skill of hockey, and the toughness of rugby. We strive to honor the rich history and tradition of the sport while showing that lacrosse is truly a game for all.

Camps

All camps are designed to bring wheelchair lacrosse to athletes, programs, and cities interested in expanding their adaptive sport offerings. A typical two day camp includes an overview of lacrosse history, skill development, and gameplay. WLUSA will assist partner organizations with all camp requirements including lacrosse equipment.
