This is a fundraiser that is being put together by our good friends in Orange County on July 24th, 2010 from 3pm-6pm at The Rinks in Huntington Beach.  There will be food and a raffle and we also will be doing a WLAX demo to show how we make it all work just like able bodied lacrosse. We’ll have extra gear if anybody wants to give it a go and play with us too.

“In-service” with the San Diego VA

We are meeting with the Rec Therapists over that the San Diego VA on Wednesday to show them all about wheelchair lacrosse.  Hopefully we will get some of those guys to come out and play with us soon.  We’re always looking for some more players!!!

The beginning of the pictures

The camp was a huge success!!!

We just got back from our first wheelchair lacrosse camp and it was awesome!!!  We can’t say enough about Adrenaline Lacrosse, the City of San Jose and Far West Wheelchair Sports!  The gear, people and support that we got all weekend was incredible.  We can’t wait to do more with these guys.  We’ve got some great photos and video from the weekend that we need to download, so look back to check it all out later.  We also got some great media coverage from Channel 2 in San Jose, the San Jose Mercury News and a photographer from Inside Lacrosse Magazine!  Here is the link to the news article (Merc article).

We had some great giveaways this weekend!

  1. Leo got a Warrior Bag
  2. Anthony got a complete stick (Brine head and STX shaft)
  3. Anna got a $450 certificate for a ROHO cushion of her choice

On top of the big prizes we had a ton of hats, socks and sweatshirts from Adrenaline Lacrosse and shirts from HeadNorth.

The camp is starting

We are starting the camp tomorrow at 9am.  Look forward to pictures and hopefully some video next week.  Wish us luck!!!

Practice schedule for the third week of March

We are going to have to skip practice this week.  We’ll be conducting the first wheelchair lacrosse camp up in San Jose this week!  We are really looking forward to it and it should be a fantastic camp.  Look for our photos when we get back.

Practice for the second week of March

No practice on Thursday 11th due to a church function and we will still have practice on Sunday 14th, but you’ll have to bring your own gear.  We’ll have our chairs for everybody to use, but we are shipping our pads and sticks up to San Jose for the camp.

Registration is filling up quick, so if you plan on making the first camp do it quick.  We’d hate for you to miss the boat.

Hope to see everybody this Sunday or at the Camp!
